1. Ensure vehicle is prepared to return to customer per school/company policy (floor mats, steering wheel cover, etc.).
In auto 100 class we discussed the importance of returning the customer's vehicle to them as clean if not cleaner and in the same if not better condition as before.
5. Complete work order to include customer information, vehicle identifying information, customer concern, related service history, cause, and correction.
In auto 100 we learned how to properly create a work order.
4. Review vehicle service history.
In auto 100 we learned why reviewing vehicle service history is important and how it can help with the problem you might be facing.
3. Demonstrate use of the three C’s (concern, cause, and correction).
In auto 100 we learned to properly serve customers by following the three c's with every job.
2. Identify purpose and demonstrate proper use of fender covers, mats.
In auto 100 we learned the importance of fender covers and the liabilities associated with damaging customer vehicles.

In auto 100 we learned how to properly read a repair order.
5. Demonstrate proper use of precision measuring tools (i.e. micrometer, dial-indicator, dial-caliper).
In auto 100 class we learned how to use precision measuring tools from argo modules.
4. Demonstrate proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
In auto 100 class as a group we located all cleaning supplies and their designated areas. The teacher stressed the importance of maintaining a clean work area to remain safe.
3. Demonstrate safe handling and use of appropriate tools.
In auto 100 we demonstrated how to safely use tools in our shop and how even though a one tool may work the proper tool is the appropriate tool to use.
2. Identify standard and metric designation.
In auto 100 we clarified the difference between metric and standard tools. The instructor also stressed the importance to use the correct tool for the fastener.

In auto 100 we completed the argo modules explaining many of the tools used in automotive applications.
15. Locate and demonstrate knowledge of material safety data sheets (MSDS).
In auto 100 class as a class located all MSDS sheets posted and discussed the things listed on them.
14. Demonstrate awareness of the safety aspects of high voltage circuits (such as high intensity discharge (HID) lamps, ignition systems, injection systems, etc.).
In auto 100 we discussed the importance of safety around high voltage circuits and that any carelessness around them could end your life.
13. Demonstrate awareness of the safety aspects of supplemental restraint systems (SRS), electronic brake control systems, and hybrid vehicle high voltage circuits.
In auto 100 we watched a powerpoint to make us aware of the benefits of SRS and electronic brake control systems. We also discussed the importance of the hazards associated with them and hybrid vehicles.
12. Secure hair and jewelry for lab/shop activities.
In auto 100 class we discussed the importance of securing hair and jewelry properly when ever in the shop.
11. Identify and wear appropriate clothing for lab/shop activities.
In auto 100 class we stressed the importance of appropriate clothing for in the shop and set a dress code. Also the school has provided us with lab coats for in the shop.
10. Comply with the required use of safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, and shoes during lab/shop activities.
In auto 100 class we learned the importance of PPE equipment and as a class all follow the rules by wearing safety glasses in the shop and other forms of PPE when necessary.
9. Identify the location of the posted evacuation routes.
In auto 100 we as a class located all fire exits and emergency exits as our school does not have a evacuation route and/or procedures.
8. Identify the location and use of eye wash stations.
In auto 100 class we as a group went around the class and located each eye wash station and how to properly use them.
7. Identify the location and the types of fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment; demonstrate knowledge of the procedures for using fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment.
In auto 100 class after viewing a powerpoint on each type of fire extinguishers that are available and how to use them. As class we went around the shop and located each fire extinguisher and their specific applications.
6. Identify marked safety areas.
As a group in auto 100 class we went around the shop and discussed each marked safety areas and how they pertain to our safety. The instructor also stressed the importance of keeping each area clean and accessible.
5. Utilize proper ventilation procedures for working within the lab/shop area.
In auto 100 class we discussed the importance of proper ventilation and as a group went around the shop locating each ventilation system and when best to use them.
4. Identify and use proper procedures for safe lift operation.
In auto 100 class we learned about the various kinds of lifts and how to properly lift vehicles on each different type. As a class with instructor support we practiced this until he felt we could be safe on our own.
3. Identify and use proper placement of floor jacks and jack stands.
In auto 100 class we learned about the different floor jacks and jackstands. We learned that not all floor jacks and jack stands have the same weight capacity and also how to properly place the jacks underneath the vehicle.

In auto 100 class we learned how to safely use tools and equipment following specific procedures to ensure our safety.

In auto 100 class we discussed where all the shop safety rules and procedure postings are located and how each item listed on them relates to us.
